Struan Bennet

I am a 20-year-old triathlete in the Triathlon Scotland Next Generation Squad. I train at the National Performance Centre in Stirling where I am also studying Sport and Exercise Science. I had a rough first year in U23, suffering from some heart problems leaving me unable to train for 5 weeks. With that all cleared up going into this year I'm fired up for some big goals and aims to be ticked off. My cycling has been my big focus of my winter training and I’ve been seeing the improvements following it.

Alex Robin

I am an 18-year-old triathlete in the Triathlon Scotland Next Generation squad. After a few years of injury including a fractured vertebrae and broken elbow (requiring metalwork and surgery) this year I managed to qualify for the world junior champs where I placed 14th in my first year in the age group, despite my limited run training. I also have 2 silver medals from the youth commonwealth games 2023. This year I hope to qualify and perform well at a European or World Championship.

Will Gilbank

I am a 19-year-old Cat 1 Road and Track cyclist riding for BCC Elite Team on the road, One Life Cycle on the track. In 2024 I was successful in winning the first stage of the Junior Tour of Ireland, as well as holding the yellow and green jerseys for the next stage. On the track, I raced the London 3Day, and a few UCI level track races, as well as the RadRace Fixed42, a fixed gear race in Berlin. I am a sprinter/rouleur, and a fan of tough racing on the cobbles and flat stages. For 2025, I am looking forward to more races on the continent as well as some UCI track races.

Oliver Conway

I am a 19-year-old triathlete training with the Nottingham University Performance Triathlon Squad. This season, I will compete in D1 French GP, National Super Series, and ETU Cup races. Last season I topped the podium in several National races including the Junior National Championship and won the National Series title. I also raced at the World Junior Championships, European Triathlon Cups, and French GP races. This year, as I move up into the U23 age group, my goals include maintaining consistent performance, qualifying for a World or European U23 Championship race, and competing in Elite European or World Cup races.

Innes McDonald

I am a second year Junior (U18) cross country mtb and cyclocross racer based in Edinburgh. I am the British Short Track XC Champion and Scottish XC Series Winner. This year I am delighted to be riding for the Great Britain Cycling Team and Scotia Offroad Racing Team (SORT). My goals in the upcoming XC season are UCI Junior World Series races, British XC MTB and Short Track Championships and Series, as well as qualification for the World Championships.

Jack Reed

I am 20 years old and come from the island of Guernsey. The 2024 season will be my third full season racing in France as an U23. I will be racing for the national division three team of Sportbreizh Axel armor-lux based in Brittany. For 2025 I look to take my knowledge from my previous two years’ experience of racing and gaining results at the elite national level of racing throughout my calendar. The support I will be receiving from Pedal Potential will help me in making all of this possible.

Rafe Cushway

I'm 17 years old and ride for Véloce Vannetais, a Brittany club in France. Last season my road Palmares included 4 wins (and 7 podiums - 2 in the French Cup) and for Track, I stood on the podium 15 times, representing both my department, and region. I won 9 jerseys and finished my season in October with both the French national jersey for team sprint and the bronze medal for the Madisson in the French champs. Last year was incredible result-wise but I go into the u19s even more determined, wanting to learn as much as possible and hopefully get some selections for big UCI races.

Evelyn Field

I am an 18-year-old road cyclist riding for Solas Race Team going into my first year as an U23. Alongside this I am also in my final year of A levels studying History, Politics and PE. My final year as an U18 wasn’t quite what I had hoped for but I gained a lot of experience, was given the opportunity to compete in some amazing races in Europe and was able to reach my pre-season goal of winning the CTT Best British All Rounder. This year is going to be a challenge but I am ready to give it my all and I am excited for what is to come!

Ryan Williams

I'm 19 years old and going into my second year as a u23. I'm really keen for 2025 as I have had a change of team and coach. I will now be racing for local team Cycling Sheffield and believe I can achieve want I want and broadcast my abilities on a bigger stage. I'm looking to have consistent performances in National A and Bs, with Cycling Sheffield having a good calendar abroad I’ll also be wanting to give myself the best chance of taking the next step in my career by having some good results on the continent. 2025 should be a good year on the bike especially with a good group of lads and change of environment.

Tristan Robin

I am a 16-year-old triathlete in the triathlon Scotland performance pathway, currently racing in the youth age group. I train with the national triathlon centre based in Stirling. Last season I qualified to race for team GB for the first time at European youths but unfortunately due to a stress fracture I was not allowed to race. Next season I hope to come back stronger and podium European Youths and with the youth B super series.

Jamie Whitcher

I'm 20, currently racing for Bournemouth cycleworks and for my 3rd year as a U23 rider I'll be focusing on Road and Time Trials. I aim to race a mixture of National B, National A, National Championships & European Races. I’m really thankful to have Pedal Potential’s support again this year along with some exciting new sponsors making this calendar possible! The aim of the season is to race to the best of my ability and gain a contract on a professional team for 2026. I can't wait to get the 2025 season started and see what results I can achieve.

James Ingham

I’m a 17-year-old from Clitheroe, Lancashire and currently ride for Prologue Race Team. Next year, I plan to balance my A-levels: Chemistry, Biology, and Geography with a busy racing calendar and will be starting my 2025 road season with some Cobbled Classics such as Nokere Koerse and hopefully Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne Juniors. When I am not racing abroad or at Junior Nationals, you will find me training hard in the Forest of Bowland and winning my favourite local road races in Lancashire. I am a hill climber at heart and look forward to racing up climbs next year in La Classic Région du Sud and the Junior Tour of Wales.

Ethan Squires

I am a 17-year-old road and track cyclist riding for Beeston CC race team in 2025. After a successful first year in the Junior category, I achieved top 20 results in the British national series, and secured the KOM jersey at the Junior Tour of Wales, while also experiencing the intense competition of European racing. I would like to take cycling further next year with racing and hopefully achieve top results within Britain and Europe while studying alongside my A-levels. I prefer a hilly road race as climbing is where my strengths are, however I look to be a more complete rider next year.

Kyle Jones

I am a 20-year-old road cyclist from Wales! For the 2025 season I will be racing for Team cycling Galica Maxge-Ambilamp, with two prior seasons racing in Spain as a Junior for Saxun-Exstrusax-Primoti. I have a lot of experience racing competitively in Europe over a long span of 10 years racing. Previously in the last few years I have achieved podiums and many strong results in regional races, but ultimately looking to progress in 2025 putting in strong performances at a National and international level. I’m looking forward to where this international journey will take me.

Oscar Lawrence

I am 16 years old from Winchester, this year I am racing for Team Culture Velo in the south of France. This season racing in France has been a big step in my journey, I've achieved many top 10 and podium placings in road races, and won an open time trial with a new PB of 18:59 for 16.1km. As I head back to France next season with a stronger foundation and more confidence, I’m ready to aim even higher. With a focus on time trials - my speciality - I’m determined to achieve standout results, and also make a big impact in road racing, and push my career forward. I'm excited to take on each race with everything I’ve got.
