I am a 19-year-old International Triathlete currently studying at Loughborough University and training at Loughborough Triathlon Performance centre. After missing my last year of racing in the Junior (U20 age category) in 2020. This season I would like to assert my dominance across domestic races; providing me with the chance to race and gain more international experience at the European and World U23 Triathlon championships.

Tom Couzens

TOM COUZENS

I am a 19-year-old, second year U23 cyclist for the Spirit Tiffosi Racing team on the road and the Montezuma's Race team for cyclocross. After spending the summer of 2020 in Italy and racing my first U23 UCI race and Italian Nationals, I moved back to the UK for the cyclocross season where I raced across Northern Europe and got the chance to represent Great Britain at the European Championships. I hope to use my experience gained as a first year U23 to hopefully sign a professional contract at the end of the season.

After a less than ideal year 2020, I have some big goals for 2021 triathlon season. I will be heading into my final year of Juniors as an 18-year-old, along with finishing my school years and completing A levels. I managed to do a few races last year in France where I podiumed at both. I will remain in the England Talent Squad for my 3rd year and aim to make both the European and World Championships as a Junior Elite, with the hope of gaining top 10 performances. I’m also aiming to pick up a few more Junior European Cup podiums and continue racing at a high level in the French Grand Prix circuit.

Katie Scott

KATIE SCOTT

As a second year U23, I’m hoping to get some road racing in 2021! I will once again be riding for the UK UCI team CAMS-Tifosi. In the last couple of years, I’ve raced cyclocross internationally for Great Britain, as well as winning a round of the national trophy. I have podiumed in national road events previously and this year I’m aiming to get some UCI racing in and gain more experience with my first UCI road team. My favourite races are those that are aggressive and likely to split up the peloton, but I also love the speed and excitement of crit racing.

Noah Canby

NOAH CANBY

I will also aim to make my French Grand Prix debut which I was due to make in 2020 but was unfortunately unable due to COVID.

I will be a junior athlete and am aiming to upgrade categories alongside competing in the National Junior Road Series. I am hoping for a consistent and successful year of training under the guidance of FTP Cycle Coaching and I am looking forward to competing for FTP Race Team.

I will be racing UCI races abroad as well as the National road and Criterium series in 2021. I’m looking to improve on my results from last year in the Nationals, particularly in the more hilly and longer races. My aim in the bigger races abroad is to get stuck in and learn from racing with professional riders in the hope that I can develop to be at the top level too. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into racing again after a tough year away due to Covid.

I am a first year U23 based in Sheffield and riding for Cycling Sheffield. I came to cycling 4 years ago having previously raced triathlon but a running injury resulted in me doing more bike racing and I found I preferred to race bikes than swim/bike/run. Since taking up cycling seriously I have progressed to racing in Junior National and International events and have been selected for the Vitfor Future Champion Project. In 2021 my focus will be to gain race experience in National As/Bs and UCI races mainly in France, Italy and Belgium.

I am a second-year Junior riding for the AG2R Citroën u19 development team. Despite COVID, last year was great for personal growth and building mental development. I was also super fortunate to get in some big training camps and races over in France. In 2021 I will be living full time in France with full focus on the biggest races in the calendar! After a big winter of training I’m super happy with my condition and feel that I will be able to make an impact on the international junior scene this year which I’m excited for! A goal of mine is the UCI classics like the Tour of Flanders.

I am a 17-year-old cyclist and ride for VC Londres. Last year I focused mainly on Time Trials. It was a new discipline for me and so my hope is that I can continue my improvement in that area in 2021 and hopefully get some wins. If racing goes ahead, I aim to perform well in the National series races and get some results in both the Road and the Track Junior National Championships. I would also like to gain experience of racing abroad and I would love to get some rides in the UCI Nations Cups. But in all honesty, I'll take anything that comes my way.

Jamie Whitcher

For the 2021 season I aim to focus on Road and Time Trials and I hope to do a mixture of U.K Junior Nationals, National B and UCI International events. I'm really looking forward to the longer distance races as a Junior and I can't wait for some racing to start.

I am a 17-year-old junior cyclist racing for TrainSharp Junior Development Team. In 2020 I was fortunate that some good form gave me some early season wins which allowed me to gain my BC Cat 2 licence before lockdown. With only TTs to go ahead, I was pleased with some Junior wins including some Junior Course records. This season I hope to build on my successes to perform strongly at National events and hopefully gain more international race experience. I am excited to get back to racing and look forward to what opportunities 2021 will bring.

Isabella Escalera

I am a 17-year-old second year junior cyclist riding for VC Londres and CAF Turnkey in Spain. With COVID-19 reducing most racing in the UK last year, I was lucky enough to get some racing in Spain, and managed a second in a stage of the Vuelta a Contabria. In 2021, I aim to race abroad in Spain, Belgium and Holland, especially the junior UCI nations cups where the racing is great and I would love to make my mark amongst the best riders in the world! I love to attack and make races interesting so I can’t wait to get stuck into 2021.

I am a first-year Junior cyclist riding for Z Junior Race Team. l ride Road, Time Trials, Hill Climbs, Track and MTB. After a year of limited racing opportunities in 2020, this year I want to gain as much experience as I can and pick up some good results. In 2019 I had a strong year as a first year U16, coming 2nd in National Championship on the road and gained some top 10 finishes in the National Series. I like to race aggressively and hope to continue this as a Junior. I am looking forward to the longer, harder races in the UK and abroad and especially looking forward to some hillier stage races.
